Flippin' Good Deed

I'm always looking out for ways that I can encourage my students to give back.  At my school, we are constantly fundraising for charities both locally and nationally.  I've always wanted to come up with something new.

What better way than with my favorite accessory?  SHOES!
Flipflop Wines is partnering up with Soles4Souls in order to collect new or gently used shoes for those in need.

Soles4Souls is a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes from the warehouses of footwear companies and the closets of people like you. The charity distributes these shoes to people in need, regardless of race, religion, class, or any other criteria. Since 2005, Soles4Souls has given away over 14 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes (currently donating one pair every 7 seconds.) The shoes have been distributed to people in over 127 countries, including Kenya, Thailand, Nepal and the United States.

My goal for this "Flippin' Good Deed" is just to collect as many shoes as I possibly can from now until October 21st.  Or to collect funds to send to Soles4Souls so that they may continue their good work.

Go to my personal fundraising page to donate money to this wonderful cause.  Or if you are in the Miami, FL area and want to donate new or gently used shoes, please contact me for ways to donate.

Let's do what we can to help those in need "one pair at a time!"
