I wish I were an artist. I took art in elementary school and a few art classes in college, but I really wish I had raw talent.
My kids are little budding artists with the help of their amazing art
teacher, Ms. Martin, at Riviera Day School. They have created wonderful
masterpieces that don't just hang on our refrigerator, they are framed
works of art on the walls of our house. I mean just check out the work...
With the declining support of the arts in schools, it's becoming even more important to help the wonderful teachers who devote their lives to enriching the lives of young ones through art.
Blick Art Materials has spearheaded an Art Room Aid fund in order to help art teachers obtain the vast materials they need in order to teach art through many medias. I was so happy when The Motherhood approached me about helping a local art teacher make their art wishes come true! I couldn't wait to help Ms. Martin make her wish list full of Blick Art Materials that I know would be helping my own kids create more masterpieces.
Here's how you can help! Go to Ms. Martin's Art Room Aid wish list and make a contribution (no amount is too small!)or choose to purchase an item of choice to donate. Then share the list on facebook, tweet about it, pin it, and pass it along to more friends and family.
Keep ART in your Heart!
