Summer Trends with The Children's Place

SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE!!  (Did I sound too excited about that?)  I LOVE summer!  No set schedule, lazy days & nights, pools, beaches, ice pops, etc.  Everything about summer is just awesome!

All school year, my kids wear a uniform.  Summer fashion is a must in our house.  The kids can dress themselves and express their own fashion sense (or lack there of).  I like to keep mix and match pieces in their wardrobe so that it's a no brainer with items that go together.  This is especially essential with "Little Ricky" because he tends to put things together that just don't go!

That's why I love shopping at The Children's Place for their fashion needs.  All of the items are able to mix nicely so that I don't have to cringe at their outfit choices.  I would love for the boys to wear the layered look.  You know, a graphic t with a plaid button down and a jean jacket on top.  How cute would they be?  So trendy.

In the world of boys, their biggest contribution to the fashion world is mesh shorts and a team t-shirt.  Fun.

My favorite piece at The Children's Place is the elastic waist shorts.  They are so versatile and are really roomy for the boys.  The wide variety of graphic t's come in all the latest trends that the boys want.

Did I mention the price?  That's another reason why I love The Children's Place.  I can get them great clothing for a great price.  Their sales are out of this world.  Jeans can be as cheap as $10 and sometimes you can get t-shirts for as low as $2.

The Children's Place has the cutest accessories for boys too.  I mean, who doesn't love a mini fedora and some aviator glasses?  How do I get my kids to wear them?

What fashion trends are you most looking forward to for summer?  Will you shop at The Children's Place for all your summer kids' clothing needs?

Halloween Costumes for Your Littlest Ghouls

Oh yeah!  It's Halloween time again!!  I love this time of year.  Time for my creative juices to start flowing to create the disguises that we will wear for Halloween.

When my kids were babies, it was hard to find something that they would be comfy in to parade around the streets and with family.  For "Little Ricky's" first Halloween, he was too young to go Trick or Treating, but he still dressed up of course!  My little lion was so yummy!

If you have a little one, either too young or too old, here are some Halloween options for you and your little goblins.

Although your 6-month old bundle of joy probably won't remember their very first Halloween, you’ll be sure to go camera-crazy when they sport these cute coverall costumes from Tiny Tillia by Avon. Available in sizes for newborns to 9 months, these 100% poly micro-fleece coveralls feature adorable hoods (sporting cute animal faces and 3-D ears!). Don’t want a complete head-to-toe ensemble for your little one? Tiny Tillia offers simple alternatives that are just as sweet – My First Halloween Bib or the Halloween Sock Set. To round out the spooky fun, there’s the Halloween Memory Game, which lets little ones exercise their memory skills by matching flashcards that feature images of their favorite Tiny Tillia friends all done up in their Halloween costumes.

With Halloween just around the corner, The Children’s Place has everything you need for your little ghoul or goblin. From festive graphic tees to complete head-to-toe  costumes, The Children’s Place has all their favorites for spooky fun come October 31st.

The Children's Place is where we got "Little Ricky's" first Halloween costume.  And then we passed it down to "The Nag."

And if your little one doesn't like to dress up, but still wants to show some holiday spirit, check out these T's...

What will your little ones be donning this Halloween?  If you still don't know, check out these two great sites!

Fall Fashions From The Children's Place

My boys are getting older and they are voicing their own fashion sense (or lack thereof).  Now when I shop for the latest looks in children's wear, they are right there behind me making their own choices.

I like shopping at The Children's Place because I can be sure that the boys get what they need for the change of weather.  The prices are so great, that "Little Ricky" and "The Nag" can get some of the items that they want as well.

"The Nag" loves his superheroes!
"Little Ricky" thinks he's a gamer!

$10 on sale, how can you go wrong?
The jeans at The Children's Place are a must buy as well.  They always fit perfectly and they are well priced.  Not to mention that when they are on sale, they are so CHEAP!

It all matches...LOVE IT!
Did you know you can get your kids their backpacks and lunchboxes too?  They are so roomy and durable...just what every mom wants.  They also come in cool patterns...just what every kid wants.

I love the layered looks that are all the rage for the fall fashion season!  Preppy is what I like...kind of a sloppy tailored look.  SO CUTE!

And if you are already looking for your child's Halloween costume, check out the selection at The Children's Place.  Yes, they have those too!!

Aaarrr you ready for Halloween yet?

What outfits would you put together for your little ones at The Children's Place?

The Children's Place ~ A great place for winter!

Every year as the holidays approach, I get a little more wiser when shopping for the duds that my little dudes will wear.  When they were babies, I waited until right before the holiday and nothing was available.  Now that my "baby" is 6 years old, when I see a look that I like, I grab it!

Recently, I visited The Children's Place for a local blogger event.  Although the sparkle and lace from the girls' side was pulling me, I kept my composure and went to the boys' side where I belong.

There was a lot to choose from....from flannel shirts to sport coats.  I kept in mind the upcoming holidays and celebrations that we will have with family and friends.  Living in South Florida, you also have to keep in mind the weather...we never know if it will be hot or cold during the holiday season, so I like to have options.

Of course polo type shirts are a must have in any weather.  Pair it with shorts and you can go dressy or casual depending on the shoes.  Add a long sleeved t-shirt under and pair it with jeans and it's good for cooler weather.

I loved the lightweight v-neck sweaters!  They will come in handy for both the holidays and for school.

I had to buy fleece pull overs in case the weather decides to drop below 70 degrees here.  (Don't judge, we have thin skin here in South Florida!)

I would LOVE to put my boys in this outfit....unfortunately, their father has a very LOUD opinion!!  Ho, hum....maybe I'll convince the boys that they like it and he can't say no to them!

Be sure to check out The Children's Place online for more winter and holiday ideas. You can also find ways to save money while shopping online or in stores.

PS....A little something I would LOVE to buy, but sadly I cannot.....why do I torture myself?!

Disclosure:  I was provided a The Childrens Place gift card for attending the event.  No request to blog or social media exposure was asked by the store.  All opinions are my own.

The Children's Place, The Right Place for Fall

Too cool for school!
So, it's back to school time!  My favorite time of year because it's an excuse to shop for new pencils, books, pens, and .... CLOTHES!

I was invited to attend a Back to School event at The Children's Place this past week.  You don't have to ask me twice when shopping is involved!  With boys who grow faster than a weed, I am in constant need for new clothes for them.  Not to mention with the lack of cold days that we have here, we are never prepared for cold weather clothes.  Not this year....

The Children's Place is showing their recent fall must haves.  Of course the girl clothes were simply adorable, but I can't shop on that side of the store.  I shopped for the boys by planning ahead to our yearly trip to Disney when the weather is cooler.

Apparently he thinks he's a model!
For boys, they have great layering pieces which come in handy for putting on and taking off for our crazy Florida weather.  I picked up lined athletic pants that my kids wanted to wear out of the store (um, it's 95 degrees out!).  I also got some great long sleeved shirts that can be used alone, under their school uniforms, or with a plaid button down.
Their future's so bright....

Of course I had to give into one of the kids' requests....cool sunglasses!  They haven't taken them off yet...seriously.

Head on over to The Children's Place for affordable fall must haves!

Although I received a gift card and chose the outfits that I used for this review, all opinions are my own.  Please note that the opinions reflected in this post have not been influenced by the sponsor in any way.
