I'm not going to bore you with where I was 10 years ago today. You have a story. We all have a story. Today is not a day about MY story. Today is a day to remember all of the heroes who have sacrificed for us. Today is a day to remember all who died that terrible day.
It's hard to forget. There are constant reminders: the emptiness where the towers stood in NY, the constant high security at the airports, the hole in my heart that is there for all who have lost someone or many.
I am lucky that I didn't lose anyone on that day. I am lucky that I wasn't on a plane that day. I am lucky that I can hold my family close.
So today is a day of grieving. Grieving for people we may or may not have known. Grieving for the loss of Americans on our own soil.
God bless America.
