What the BEEP????

I walk in the door after work.  BEEP!

Helping the kids with homework.  BEEP!

Cooking dinner.  BEEP!

The damn smoke detector was BEEPING!  And it wouldn't stop.

My husband got on a step stool and took the beeping culprit down and changed the battery.  Ahhh, silence.  BEEP!  Are you BEEPING kidding me???
Then the one in the kids' room...BEEP.  Then for at least 45 minutes every smoke detector in the house was making a beep at one point in time. 
So he decided to take the first one down until daylight so we could go to sleep in peace.  BEEP!

What the....?  BEEP!  But it doesn't have a battery!  BEEP!  It's not even connected!  BEEP!

The whole situation reminded me of the Friends episode where Phoebe had an altercation with her smoke detector.

Needless to say that through all the BEEPS and cursing coming from each room in the house, I now know that my kids can sleep through ANYTHING!
