YIPEEE!!!!  It's National Donut Day!!!!  Do you know what that means?  FREE DONUTS!!!

Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants will be honoring National Donuts Day with a sweet offer to make the holiday extra special and fun.  On June 7 (today), participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants will offer guests a free donut of their choice (while supplies last) with the purchase of any beverage.

HOT DAMN!!!

Now that it's summer, Dunkin’ Donuts’ unveiled new Summer Fruit Donuts that are available in two fun fruit flavors: Lemonade, featuring a lemon flavored filling, frosted with white icing, and topped with lemonade bark; and Key Lime, featuring a key lime flavored filling, frosted with white icing and finished with a graham cracker topping.  Both new donuts are available through August at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide.

So I have it all planned out...I'll go for coffee & a donut in the morning.  Then as my afternoon snack, I'll go back for a sweet tea and another donut.  Of course after dinner, I'll have to go back for another donut...but maybe this time with milk!  Too much?

National Donut Day, celebrated on the first Friday of June each year, was originally established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to honor women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I. According to John Costello, Chief Global Marketing and Innovation Officer at Dunkin’ Brands, it’s the perfect day to celebrate the joy that donuts bring to people each and every day. “With our heritage as the country’s donut leader, we know best that donuts can make any moment in the day a little sweeter. We’re proud to once again make it easy and affordable for everyone to celebrate National Donut Day by enjoying a free donut at Dunkin’ Donuts with the purchase of any beverage,” he said.

For more than 60 years, Dunkin' Donuts has been a leader in the donut category, selling 1.9 billion donuts and MUNCHKINS® donut hole treats every day. Within the United States, Dunkin’ Donuts offers more than 70 varieties of donuts, including beloved flavors such as Boston Kreme, Glazed and Chocolate Frosted. In May, Dunkin' Donuts introduced new donuts inspired by Men In Black 3.  These include the Undercover Black Cocoa Donut, a star shaped yeast donut filled with brownie batter butter creme and topped with chocolate icing and star sprinkles, and the Chocolate Lunarmax Donut, a glazed chocolate cake donut with rich chocolate icing drizzle and star sprinkles.  All Men In Black 3-inspired donuts are available at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide for a limited time.

Dunkin Donuts Anytime

Do you run on Dunkin'?  On mornings when I'm running late, I run straight to the nearest Dunkin' Donuts location with a drive-thru.  I'm currently addicted to their Vanilla Chai Latte.  

Did you know that you could "Run on Dunkin'" all day long?  You heard me....ALL DAY LONG!


Dunkin' Donuts expanded their all-day menu to include four new bakery sandwiches.  Recently, I was invited to taste the newest additions to the Dunkin' Donuts menu.  


One of my new favorites, the Turkey, Cheddar & Bacon Bakery Sandwich with Ancho Chipotle sauce.  Nice kick, and who doesn't love bacon?!  I could have used more sauce for dipping...MMMMM!  
 



I also REALLY enjoyed the Texas Toast Grilled Cheese.  This gooey yummy-ness was introduced in stores in December.  Definitely not low in calories, but SO worth the cheat!!

Moms Love Dunkin' Donuts!

Did you know Dunkin' Donuts has other things besides donuts??


I knew that, but was a bit timid to try new things (this is something my husband makes fun of about me...).  I'm sorry, I like to stick with what I know!  Chocolate glazed and cinnamon donuts are my all time favorite.  I prove this by getting one of each when I visit any Dunkin' Donuts...     


But recently, I was invited to try out some other lesser known products that are available at Dunkin' Donuts.  Mini samples of all kinds of deliciousness were passed around for us to try.  (I think every restaurant should do this, by the way...)


A Back to School event for blogging moms was hosted by Tilson PR firm at a Dunkin' Donuts in Miami, FL. The event was focused around the ever popular slogan, "Everyone runs on Dunkin'." Well, they proved that even busy moms can "Run on Dunkin'" too!


I am now a new lover of other things on Dunkin' Donuts' menu, including new flavors of donuts.  I really enjoyed the Strawberry Frosted donut...who knew?  And the Cinnamon Raisin Bagel Twist?  Even my little adventurous eater liked this one.




Have you ever had the Tuna Croissant or the Pepperoni Stuffed Breadstick?  I recommend them both.  Want something fabulous?  Try the Turkey, Cheddar and Bacon Flat Bread....to die for!  And don’t get me started on the Southern Style Chicken Flatbread...I’ll definitely be going back for more.




And what about the beverages?  My kids’ favorites were, of course, the Blue Raspberry Coolatta and Cherry Coolatta.  As a lover of all things sweet, I really enjoyed the Sweet Iced Tea.  And I now have a new coffee obsession...the Iced Caramel Mocha Latte.





Of course the girls at Tilson PR and Dunkin’ Donuts provided us with goody bags filled with all kinds of goodies including these 

ADORABLE USB flash drives in the shapes of favorite Dunkin’ Donuts products!

Did I mention I won a re-usable travel cup in the raffle???  SCORE!
