Judy Blume's Tiger Eyes is now a MOVIE!

Did you ever read Judy Blume books when you were younger?  You know, she's the author of such classics as Superfudge, Are You There God? It's Me Margaret., and my personal favorite Forever

Well, another one of her classic books Tiger Eyes is coming to film this week!  This is Blume's first novel to hit full length feature.  Not to mention she collaborated with her son, Lawrence Blume, who is the film's director.

Check out a little synopsis of the story:

Davey has never felt so alone in her life. Her father is dead -- shot in a holdup at his store -- and now her mother is taking 17 year old Davey and her little brother to New Mexico to stay with relatives while she tries to recover. Climbing in the Los Alamos canyon, Davey meets the mysterious Wolf, the only person who seems to understand the rage and fear Davey feels. Slowly, with Wolf's help, Davey realizes that she must get on with her life. A complicated story of deep human drama. Based on the classic novel,"Tiger Eyes," by Judy Blume.

If you're a lover of Judy Blume, then you will want to check out this film Tiger Eyes, in theaters June 7th.  The film is available on June 7th in select theaters and on In Demand, DirecTV and iTunes the same day.

Are you BRAVE Enough?

Tonight, the boys and I attended a screening of the new Disney Pixar's movie Brave.  WHAT A GREAT MOVIE!!

The story follows the main character Merida, a determined princess who wants to make her own fate instead of following the ancient customs of the land where she would have to marry the first born son of one of the neighboring families.  Merida runs into an eccentric witch and unleashes mayhem to her country and family.

"The Nag" was so excited to see Brave!

"Little Ricky" is too cool for words!
I don't want to ruin the ending, but let me just tell you that at the end I teared up (and so did "The Nag!").  And both of my boys came to me and kissed and hugged me tight!!  I think I'll keep them!!

You REALLY need to check out Disney Pixar's newest film Brave.  In theaters on June 22.

If you can't wait until the movie premiers, you can go to Disney online and check out trailers, information on the characters, a gallery of pictures, downloads, and fun games.  You can also pre-purchase tickets for the opening of Brave.

And now I ask, are you BRAVE enough?  To answer that question, you need to watch Disney Pixar's Brave!

**Disclaimer:  I received passes to the screening of Brave from Cresco Media.  All opinions are my own.
